IT’S TIME TO STAND ON BUSINESS: EXPOSE THEM & FIGHT BACK
Let me be very clear—this is personal for me, and I am pissed.
I am outraged, and you should be too.
What we are witnessing in our federal government is not just bad leadership—it is an outright attack on democracy and the American people. There are deliberate attempts to dismantle our institutions, silence the people, and strip away the rights of everyday Americans.
IT’S TIME TO WAKE UP
Not in the way Republicans have twisted the word “woke” into an insult—but in the way Black people always meant it: Being aware. Paying attention to injustices. Giving a damn about what is happening with our children, in our families, in our schools, in our neighborhoods and communities, in this country, and throughout the world.
And they are counting on you being too distracted, too divided, and too selfish to care about your fellow neighbors.

THIS IS PERSONAL FOR ME |
|
This fight isn’t abstract for me—it’s deeply personal.
My father served in the Vietnam War and fought for years to get the benefits owed to him from the Veterans Administration.
Three of my siblings have also served this country.
I am a grandmother to four grandsons, and I want them to have a better quality of life than I have had.
We all used to want our kids to have better than us. We all used to want to see the next generation thrive.
But that is not the track we are on under this Trump-Republican administration.
They are stealing from the future—and if we don’t fight back, our children and grandchildren will suffer the consequences.

PEOPLE VOTED FOR THIS—AGAINST THEIR OWN INTERESTS OR DISENGAGED FROM THE PROCESS
Let’s be honest—many people voted for this.
They voted against their own interests because they allowed their insecurities, racism, and misogyny, and lack of regard for others to come before their own well-being, before their children’s future, before our collective humanity.
And now, “ we the people” are paying the price.
Union members who work in the construction trades voted for Trump, despite the fact that they can no longer claim deductions for their union dues, their tools, their clothing, or their travel expenses.
Teachers voted for Trump—even those with students who have IEPs and disabilities, and now we are witnessing the administration gutting the Department of Education.
People in the lower socio-economic class of this country voted for Trump, and now they’re cutting Medicaid benefits for citizens who are poor, disabled, or in need of critical care.
Veterans voted for Trump, and now they are watching their benefits get cut, their services reduced, and their VA workforce slashed.
- A man convicted of 34 felony counts.
- A man who can’t even work at the post office but can hold the highest office in the land.
- A man who has bankrupted multiple companies, but people still believed he was going to be great for the economy.

And let’s not forget—Trump worships Putin.
He has openly sided with Russia over U.S. intelligence agencies, called for cutting aid to Ukraine, and even blamed Ukraine for a war that Russia started.

Meanwhile, I went to buy a dozen eggs last week, and it was $7.49.
His tariff policy is a disaster, and it's only going to create even more economic hardship for American families.
I hope this is the time that we learn our lesson; that we come to realize that we are all Americans, and we need to vote in a way that serves the greater good of all Americans.
ELON MUSK—A SOUTH AFRICAN, RACIST BILLIONAIRE PROFITING OFF THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER—IS LYING ABOUT SOCIAL SECURITY
While working families struggle, Elon Musk is taking billions in taxpayer money while calling Social Security a Ponzi scheme.
- $465 million for Tesla
- $5.49 billion for SpaceX
- $885.5 million for Starlink
Yet he has the audacity to claim that Social Security is unsustainable and liken it to a Ponzi scheme.
What is a Ponzi Scheme?
A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment scam where returns are paid to earlier investors using funds from new investors, rather than actual profits from legitimate business activities. It collapses when new investments dry up.
|
|
What is Social Security?
Social Security is not a Ponzi scheme. It is a government program enacted by Congress, voted on by Congress, and funded by American workers through payroll taxes.
|
There is less than 1% fraud in the Social Security program—yet Musk and his billionaire friends want to convince Americans that the system is broken so they can justify gutting it.
The American people count on those checks every month.
- These are our parents.
- These are our grandparents.
- These are parents of children with disabilities.
- These are widows and widowers.
And those checks have been coming every month for generations—because this system works.
This narrative that Social Security is failing is nothing but a setup. The truth is, Americans have paid into this system their entire working lives. This is their money, not a government handout.
If lawmakers were serious about strengthening Social Security, they would eliminate the income cap of $176,100. Many people don’t realize that any income earned above this threshold is not taxed for Social Security, meaning the wealthiest stop contributing after reaching this amount, while everyday workers pay in on 100% of their income.
If the wealthy paid into the system the same way everyone else does, not only would it be fair, but it would also secure the program’s future for generations to come.
REPUBLICANS ARE HIDING FROM THEIR OWN VOTERS
The Republican National Committee has directed Republican members of Congress to cease all town hall meetings.
Why? Because they don’t want the backlash publicized. They don’t want the pressure on Republican members of Congress.
This is their way of suppressing public outcry and controlling their own members, manipulating them into thinking that the outrage across the country isn’t real.
And let’s not forget: Trump is a reality TV star. He constructs his own reality and then convinces millions of people to believe in it.
This is gaslighting on a national scale. And if people don’t stop falling for it, the damage will be irreversible.
THE CALL TO ACTION: WE ALL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE LEADERS IN THIS FIGHT
📢 Expose Trump’s economic failures. 📞 Pressure your state and local officials to resist Trump’s policies. 🗳 Mobilize for 2028 NOW. 📨 Hold the GOP accountable at every level.
This fight belongs to all of us—everyday Americans, not just politicians.
We cannot sit back and wait for these men to do the right thing.
If you’re fired up and ready to lead, let’s talk. I work with women leaders stepping into the political arena or advancing in leadership roles. Because if we’re going to change this country, we need leaders who know how to navigate these systems and fight for what’s right.
If accountability won’t come from those in power, then resistance is our only option. We expose, organize, and vote them out. That’s the real power move. |
